2021 Annual Scientific Meeting

Dates: 13th to 15th September 2021
Venue: Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton, UK

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to Brighton for the 2021 BIHS Annual Scientific Meeting when we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of our conference. The anniversary should have been celebrated in 2020 but as you know, the meeting, like so many others, had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  However, we plan to celebrate in style in 2021 and look forward to welcoming you to this special occasion.

Hilton Brighton Metropole is set on the vibrant Brighton sea-front directly opposite the West pier and is within walking distance of the main pier. Brighton train station is only a five-minute walk away, which links to Central London and is an under 30 minutes train ride from Gatwick Airport.

The meeting is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest in cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure, and is not only among the important events in the calendar to exchange new ideas, but is also a great networking opportunity in a convivial atmosphere.

Programme Highlights:

  • Sir George Pickering Lecture
  • Three awards for Young Investigator submitted abstracts; opportunities to present your work in Australia, the USA and Italy in our reciprocal exchange programmes
  • The Dr Robert Grayson Award will be presented to the best research into diseases of the aorta and blood vessels
  • Prizes for the best Nurses and AHP presentation and the best Poster presentation will be awarded
  • Late-breaking research

We look forward to welcoming you to Brighton!

Professor Una Martin, President & Dr Carmel McEniery, Secretary
