Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Executive Committee, I am writing to ask whether you would be willing to review abstracts submitted for this year’s BIHS Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held in Cambridge in September. This would involve receiving approximately 5-10 anonymised abstracts, scoring them according to a simple system and submitting your scores online by Friday 4th May. The review period will take place between Wednesday 11th of April and Friday 4th of May.

We are also keen to involve younger and/or less experienced members in this process. Therefore, we are offering to allocate a mentor to anyone who is inexperienced in reviewing abstracts. Experienced reviewers will be asked if they will agree to mentor. Further instructions for mentors/mentees will be sent upon completion of a brief online survey (link below). All referees (including inexperienced referees) will receive a certificate from the BIHS recognising their participation.

If you are able to assist with reviewing abstracts, please enter your details in the link below by Friday 16th of March.

Please note that if we receive more offers than needed, some individuals may not be required to review abstracts.

Kind regards,

Carmel McEniery

BIHS Secretary On behalf of the BIHS Executive Committee
